"""" BE WARNED """Doctor Phillips is nice, I liked him and felt confident in trusting Him, but the front office is absolutely horrible. The staff for Doctor Phillips office is suspect and should not be trusted, "Specifically with Billing." If you are considering this office against another go with the other. Staff directly related to billing charged me $170 in office fee that they stated could have been $400. I paid the $170. One month later, I received the insurance bill break down and they charged my insurance a full $395 showing that I owed $5 outstanding the bill did not reflect the $170 payment made in office. In office, front office staff was short in responses to cost, demeanor seems to be one of "why are you questioning us." In my visit I do believe the office staff forgot to tell the Doctor I was waiting, I waited for a full hour prior to stepping out to ask staff what was going on with my appointment, again the in offices staff demeanor was one of nice words but with a tone of arrogance. Another 10 minutes passed by in my room to speak with Dr. Phillips, again, I really liked Dr Phillips. Fast forward to today, I received a call from a "Cost Break Down Specialist," who referred me to the office Billing staff to answer my shock of owing $1000.00 for a fully covered exam. Doctor Phillips billing staff called my insurance company and put me in a high risk category. I have never had the particular issues and been examined on family history and cleared multiple times. I went from a $0 cost preventive checkup to being told I would need to pay $1000.00. There are a lot of great Doctors in this world, and Dr. Phillips may be one of them, but be warned, if you go to His Borland and Grover office in Yulee/Fernadina Beach you could run into multiple issues in relations with Staff, Appointments and Billing. The overall experience has been bad enough, I am considering sending a certified letter to insure my appointment is canceled and that I will not be billed for missing it."

"Dr. Phillips is a genius. I am a retired licensed clinical social worker. He is a genius. And he had a fantastic bedside manner. This Doctor spends time with his patients explaining your treatment plan. He treats you with respect. He is so knowledgeable and kind. Best Dr. I have ever seen. Appendix cancer survivor..Run to this Doctor. He is absolutely fantastic. Staff is also wonderful. 5,000 stars. Thanks Dr. Phillips."
