"Great resource for SLU supplies! If you like goodies..... Stop in here for a treat. Parking is a little concerning if you aren't familiar with the area. After a quick call to the store, I was able to locate a space."
"They rip off students with misleading business practices! Very vague description of books you are ordering. Don't buy from here they rip you off. I thought I was paying for a book, but I got only an overpriced access code. I could have rented it from manufacturer for significantly less. SLU should be ashamed of how they conduct this business."
"I have dealt with this bookstore for 2 years now (not by choice). If it’s an option for you, go somewhere else (such as Amazon). I have found new books on there as much as 100 dollars cheaper than the bookstores used for purchase. They are a straight rip off. I once purchased a dictionary for German, it’s missing an entire section. Should have seen the replacement they tried to give me. Today I spent 750 dollars on 5 books and a homework program. 3 of the books were used. They are all in very rough shape including damaged spines. (Normally I check, but they were packed and I was in a hurry) I wish I could say this is an isolated incident with them, but it’s not. My suggestions to the bookstore: 1) quit price gauging, it’s both obvious and ridiculous 2) work on your efficiency 3) do not accept damaged books for resale or base price of the book for resale on its condition"
"Pretty much like any college book store. The vast area of spiritwear is very cramped so you will bump in to other customers. Two floors at least spreads the merchandise out, so actual book buyers can find what they are looking for in relative peace. The students working here were not particularly personable, desiring to talk to each other durimg the sales transaction and dismissing us when the sale was through. The store is easy to locate."
"While a student here, the staff could be a little short and rude, especially during the rush at the beginning of each semester. I was given a used book when I paid new, and am not a fan of them automatically upgrading to new if used is out of stock. I sometimes used the book store for sheer convenience, especially when I needed book ASAP. Otherwise, I recommend going elsewhere for much cheaper books - and you can still sell them back to them if you want."
