"It can be hard to find the entrance, it's not on the Depot side , it is left of the fire department. But there's no clear indication of that being the way in . Dress appropriately, no surprise small towns can find out of towners & "City Slickers" "Sus" . Next to a fire department, it's best to No Smoking lol . The trains are there if your patient is to stay there awhile (Feels awkward , like being on display ,on a stage - being watched ) . The environment is nice and beautiful as long as you're not "Sus". I felt naked on the platform , if you're "sus" and prefer to down dress or not be very impressive, "Hip" or "Grunge" , smoke , or appear as a bunch of teens , or clearly "poor" , stay in the Depot side , you won't feel naked"

"Great railfan platform, and nice touch with the scanner. Turn the switch and it stays on for up to an hour. Nice viewing area, great addition to downtown. Highly recommended when in Ringgold."
"Excellent place to sit, have lunch and watch some trains! There is a switch located track side to turn on a railway radio that's mounted in the rafters of the pavilion."
