For over 55 years, we have empowered more than 160,000 youth across the nation, guiding them towards a path of success and self-discovery. Our Mission

Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower young people to discover their true potential. With an impressive 80% success rate in program completion, we utilize a holistic approach that combines education, workforce development, treatment, and behavior and skills training. We are not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ organization; instead, we tailor our programs to meet the unique needs of each individual, fostering confidence and a belief in their ability to succeed.

Our Programs

AMIkids offers a diverse range of programs and services designed to provide the extra support youth need:

- Community-Based Programs: These programs offer daily services to youth and families, allowing participants to return home each day. We offer eight unique services within our community-based programs.

- Residential Programs: Operating 24/7, these programs provide a safe and structured environment where youth can develop essential skills for transitioning back to community settings or home environments.

- Program Enhancements: These services can be standalone or supplementary, enhancing the impact of our primary programs.

- Service Coordination: We provide regional service coordination for the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, managing a continuum of community-based and residential services.
