Welcome to Volunteers of America Southeast, located at 1820 Hazel Street, Waycross, Georgia. As a cornerstone of health, housing, and human services, we are dedicated to empowering and uplifting communities in need. Our mission is to alleviate the burdens families face, especially during back-to-school seasons, and to foster a legacy of hope and care for our neighbors.

We take immense pride in supporting thousands of veterans through our innovative and sustainable housing solutions. Our Innovative Dwellings initiative repurposes old materials to create affordable homes, offering a beacon of hope for our nation's heroes. Additionally, the Shay Moral Injury Center provides educational programs addressing moral injury, serving mental health professionals and the general public alike.

Volunteers of America Southeast is also a leader in affordable housing development, having provided safe shelter to nearly 20,000 seniors, veterans, and families this year. Our Futures Fund drives social impact by supporting high-impact health, housing, and social service models.

Our impact is vast: 7,000 seniors receive skilled nursing care, 5,000 children and their families benefit from education services, and 57,000 kids gain opportunities beyond their imagination. We have housed 27,000 individuals and assisted 28,000 people with re-entry and overcoming incarceration impacts.

Guided by over 16,000 dedicated professionals, our vision is to transform lives by enhancing the health, happiness, and stability of our communities.
