"Short answer: anyone needing any level of masonry work should call Pro Point for an fast, honest quote with no pressure or overselling. Simply put, Pro Point was amazing - I didn't know exactly what work I wanted completed on my chimney but Curtis was fully willing to go through various scenarios with me to compare costs. I ended up being so impressed with his willingness to talk through various project scopes that I decided if I was going to have anyone working on my chimney in the near future it would be his crew. I talked with Curtis one final time before booking the job to negotiate a slightly lower price in exchange for a larger down payment on the project; I really appreciated his business acumen and communication style. I selected essentially a full compliment of masonry work including fully grinding and replacing mortar from the roof line up, spot tuck pointing the remainder of the chimney, re-caulking the flashing, replacing loose bricks, patching spalling bricks, and pouring a beautiful 5" concrete crown (a HUGE improvement vs. the mortar pile you typically see atop chimneys). Don't think for a moment that I just got "talked into" this wide scope of work - quite the contrary; Curtis' initial quote only included spot tuck pointing with some work on the mortar cap - I was very happy to expand the scope of work through my own volition because I quickly realized Pro Point was a trustworthy company. Pro Point completed their work in 4 days (the 4th day was taking down the concrete form for the crown, the scaffolding, and cleaning up the site fully). I don't anticipate needing any more masonry work in the immediate future, but if I did I would call Pro Point in an instant!"
