"After 18 years of washing, scraping and sanding, then staining our cedar deck every 2 years, it was time to replace it with a low maintenance composite board and aluminum railing. Of the three other companies that we received bids on, Jones Home Improvements, Cottleville, MO, stood out among them. They were not the lowest bid, nor the highest. Rob Workman, who presented their deck, impressed us with his knowledge of the craft explaining in detail why they chose the materials they use, such as the Deckorators composite boards and the 2” Black Westbury aluminum railing. He explained the many problems decks can have and how their company had solved them. He used numerous photos to showcase each point. There were added details such as the two toned Fascia using black Art Decko and Deckorators adding the Fleur de Lis emblem, and the black wrapped posts. From the teardown of the old deck to completion was 2 weeks. The two man crew of Eddie and Brian were professional. By the end of each day, they completely cleaned up and neatly put away all their equipment making it safe. They were friendly and responsive to all my questions. The Jones Improvement staff was communicative all along the way so there were no surprises. They took care of the plans, county permits, and Home Owners Association requirements. I am very pleased with the result and will enjoy our new deck for many years to come."
