"Beware of reviews because apparently this builder can and will remove negative reviews for their own benefit. We purchased a home from Zykan in 2019 and from day one we had leak after leak with our roof. Their repair team put band aids on the problems and it would get them another year before the roof would leak again. For 5 years we dealt with a total of 4 different leaks each leak patched NOT fixed! The master bedroom leak was so bad that the coffered ceiling actually caved in! We had water dripping down on our hard wood floors and our expensive furniture! We had to PAY them $600 to replace our front porch columns because they were only 2 years old but warping and paint splitting off...when you purchse a Virginia you do not expect this to happen, you expect a certain level of quality! One year after our house was built a 60 foot hickory tree that he decided to leave in our back yard fell and costed us $4,000 just to remove it! This is in addition to the $2,000 roof repair bill we just just paid because the roof was still leaking (5 Zykan band aids later) We wanted our roof fixed correctly so therefore we had to hire professionals. Zykan doesn't honor their workmanship or appreciate their clients. New buyers just do your research...Zykan isn't even affiliated with the BBB which says a lot!"
