"I'm not really happy with Southeast Health. I took Brandon to the ER Thursday evening and they made him sit in the waiting room and have his heart attack. No one else in the waiting area seemed truly emergent since they were all laughing and talking while he literally writhed in pain in the seat. He went back up to triage three different times to tell them he was getting worse and worse and they offered Tylenol, and then didn't even give it to him. His blood pressure and blood sugar was sky high and he had severe chest pain radiating down both arms. It's like they thought he was lying or were just flat out apathetic."
"I passed a kidney stone in the waiting room waiting hours to see a doctor. No medication no cat scan. When I finally got to a room the nurse told me the doctor all ready had everything he needed and would be in to talk to me did not ask me a single question. The provider came in and actually asked me if I wanted a cat scan or if just wanted to be discharged. He offered me a medication I am allergic too and was noted in my chart. My discharge paperwork states that he examined me, specifically: Abdominal: General: There is no distension. Palpations: Abdomen is soft. Tenderness: There is abdominal tenderness (LLQ). Cardiovascular: Rate and Rhythm: Normal rate and regular rhythm. Heart sounds: Normal heart sounds. No murmur heard. He never touched me or even did a physical exam or listened to my chest, and I was there for Urology issues and it states to follow up with my neurologist. My cat scan states: APPENDIX: No findings to suggest acute appendicitis. I do not have an appendix! REPRODUCTIVE: Unremarkable as visualized. I have had a complete hysterectomy. I spent a total of five and a half hours the majority of that time in your waiting room and was never checked on one time only to be treated like my visit was a waste of your staffs time! I will never return to your ER or recommend it."
"The absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had. Have been here for seven hours and counting (4pm-11:20pm) with a four year old child. I will NEVER come here again."
"I'm an elderly women with several serious medical conditions. I was in serious pain, dehydrated and vomiting when I arrived at the Emergency Room yesterday. I was registered and receiving care within 15 minutes. The staff from the reigstration desk through to the nurses and physician and orderlies, and lab staff were all respectful, efficient, kind, and helpful. I was stabalized and able to return home 3 hours later. Thank you all."
"I’m an employee of SEH so I always choose to use the services provided by the organization. We recently had to take our 2 year old to the ED for some stitches on a cut finger. The registration was painless and the Access Specialist was very nice! The wait time was reasonable considering the codes that were coming through. The triage nurses put my son at ease right away and told us what the next steps would be. Shortly after, one of the PAs and a nurse took care of our little one and got him stitched up. They were patient and kind through the whole encounter and gave us good instructions for follow up. I was very satisfied with our experience!"
