"Very nice park to exercise your horse. Up and down. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River. One of my favorite Parks."
"Fantastic trail with multiple loops and varying difficult. The trail takes you along the scenic cliffs overlooking the Mississippi River below, and loops down to the bottoms that have a more swampy environment. The spring and summer can add plenty of green and vibrant colors from wildflowers, and the trees always turn a beautiful color in the fall. You will see plenty of wildlife, including venomous snakes like timber rattlesnakes, so please be SNAKE AWARE. Also respect all wildlife and the environment."
"It gets pretty 'rustic' on the Western end of the trail. Never really lost the trail, but no markers until we came to the Eastern loop. (Just as I was panic downloading a compass.) Be prepared to dodge horse droppings and traverse a very large tree that is over the trail. Once we got to the Eastern loop it widened out and I was able to relax and take it in. It was all very beautiful!"
"Really nice hiking. Make sure you bring the needed supplies. I especially tick protection since on my last hike I had 22 ticks on my body. If you run+walk you can complete the 5+ mile trail in 1 hour. Otherwise it’s a peaceful hike with just your thoughts"
"One if two trailheads for the trail. Excellent hike, but this trailhead does not have a toilet so use the facilities by the lake if needed"
