"The Stoneware Museum is a delight! I visited a few years ago when they first opened and again for their June 2024 Stoneware Fest and Swap Meet. They are open on Saturdays from April until October, with free admission, but you can make an appointment for other times. They have pottery from all the Warren County pottery companies: Western Stoneware, Maple City, Monmouth, Weir and 3M. There is so much to see! It’s a really wonderful collection, and there are people on hand to talk about the pottery and how it was made. The museum is on the same street as the Warren County History Museum, so you can visit both on the same day."
"A+ experience! Had a truly engaging, fact filled experience at this local gem. Cindy and Ray, who gave us a personal tour, were a huge part of the charm. Having collected an extensive amount of Western Stoneware, and having accumulated a lot of information on the history of it, it’s entirely logical to me that they would open a museum dedicated to it. I found it riveting to see, as well as hear about, the historical, economic and practical uses of each piece and the reasons for the varying sizes, forms and styles of the pieces, such as from before refridgeration to after. Also, wonderful to see they support contemporary pottery artists shown in the last photos. Thank you Cindy and Ray!"
"Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of items on display."
