"Recently bought my dream car, 1970 Camaro with 350sbc. The car is carbureted and not running well so needed to be tuned properly. Most shops will not be able to work on carbureted vehicles and only have knowledge about EFI. I was referred to Omer @ STL Tuners by another local shop. I stopped by to see the shop and was greated by Omer, we talked about my issues and agreed on bringing him my car to work on tuning. The following week I had the car dropped off at his shop and he started working on it promptly. He communicated with updates or questions via text messages and phone calls. He is very knowledgeable and after fixing a few issues with incorrect timing, fouled plugs he was able to Dyno tune the car and properly adjust air/fuel mixture. He educated me on what the issues were and some future suggestions for more optimal tuning. He is a straight forward guy who understands the inner workings of engines and can explain the issues well. He also understands being mindful of budget constraints and practical solutions rather than going overboard with expensive upgrades."

"I brought my carburetored vehicle here to get the carb dialed in after a rebuild. I had it close but not 100% when I dropped it off. I figured they could handle a basic heads, cam, intake small block chevy, but I was mistaken. All seemed ok when I left but once the car got to operating temperature is when the issues showed up. It wouldn't idle, it would stumble and misfire, and they set the idle mixture to be richer than Oprah. I mean leaving black marks on the concrete rich. It took months of calling to get them back on the phone to discuss this issue and when they finally picked up I was told "If I'm not getting paid, I'm not interested." Even though I paid for a tune already. If they at least made an effort to make it right I would leave a better review. They seem to get your money and not worry about anything else."

"My co-worker used this more than unqualified "Omer Phelps" for a simple cam change tune. The truck was very hard to start when warm also the transmission started shifting oddly. "Omer Phelps" told him that's the way they are on every one he has tuned. When he told me that it was clear he had no idea what he was doing. The truck was taken to a well respected tuner and all issues were resolved and performance increased!!...side note it cost half the money as ripoff Omer how declined any sort of refund."
