"I have nothing good to say about the scale houses anywhere. And I will never take a break in one either. I don't care if they allow it and say we won't bother you on your break. We'll I'm not going to have you harassing me when I'm trying to get my day started either."
"Easy on and off overnight parking. The trains run regularly, so if that kind of noise prevents you from sleeping, hit the rest area or truck stops nearby. I prefer this over truck stops in St. Louis, due to the panhandlers that knock on your door all night long."
"As I understand the desire for safety in your state, I have no qualms about going over a scale and through an inspection when I come into the state. However, I personally believe the east bound is nothing more than a last ditch effort for the state to take its pound of flesh from hard working truck drivers. Whatever violations were going to he committed in this state, have already been committed. It's a crying shame a truck driver doesn't have the same rights as other citizens. Scales placed on the out bound sides of highways leaving the state should be against the law. Oh yeah, while there were no violations found, I'm am now missing an hour of my life simply because Missouri attempted to enhance their revenue. Who is going to compensate me for that hour?"
"If you need a place to stop for the night, this is one of the better places to go. It's quiet and they actually have a bathroom that's not a port-a-potty. On the way out of the station, you don't have to cross the scales again. No one wants to stay at a weigh station, but it's never crowded, and having a bathroom is a huge plus."
