Reviews of Merritt's Millpond Public Boat Ramp
"Nice boat ramp! Easy to get to, parking was good, it had a porta potty."
"I swung by to try to put in on my paddleboard and head towards the springs but with all of the rain the water conditions weren't quite what I would want to be in if I fell so I opted to head closer to the head spring. Once it clears up, I can see this being a great spot to launch paddle craft or small boats. They have a portapotty onsite and it was clean when I used it. Parking looks lile it could fill up quickly if it got busy. Getting here was very easy."
"We went here to kayak up to Blue Springs. The boat dock is small but more than sufficient for the type of boats and kayaks on the lake. The cypress trees were neat and at the same time a little unnerving. There was a lot of algae on the water in places. There was pretty good water clarity. You can see the tall grasses growing underneath. We saw various birds as well. When we got to Blue Springs it was closed and there is a wall around the spring so you can't really see it, that was a bummer. (Visited April 2022)."
"Public boat ramp. The water is nice and clear as it is fed by Jackson Blue Springs. Like to put kayaks in here and go up to the caves and springs. You can also bring boats. It is free and does fill up fast on the weekends."
"No access because of the draw down. Its wild to see the water level 6 feet down. Lots of mud. Launch your kayak at Cave Adventures for $5 to access the caves and lake. A beautiful paddle."
