Located at 329 Blacks Bluff Road Southwest, Rome, Georgia, Floyd County Prison serves as a key facility within the Georgia correctional system. As an official entity of the State of Georgia, we ensure secure housing for state and county offenders while providing a general labor force that supports various functions of the Floyd County Government.

Our facility is equipped with eight dormitories, each with 56 beds, and one dormitory with 40 beds. Additionally, we have specialized accommodations including 9 isolation beds, 9 segregation beds, and 8 beds in our sick bay to address all necessary inmate needs.

Floyd County Prison plays an integral role in the community by providing labor for a variety of local and state services. Our inmates contribute to Floyd County Public Works, the Rome/Floyd Recreation Authority, Animal Control, Recycling, Police, Courthouse, Airport, and the Georgia State Patrol. We also maintain two contract details with the City of Rome, ensuring that our labor efforts benefit the broader community.

To visit Floyd County Prison, take I-75N to Exit 290 in Cartersville and follow the signs to Hwy 41 to Rome. Continue approximately 25 miles to Darlington Drive, exit, and follow the directions to reach us. We are the first building in the complex on Blacks Bluff Road.
