"Cutest traditional baking company on the hill! They have everything you’d want and more. Tried the cookies and they were ok…. The cherry pecan crisp was really good. Tiramisu is not actual tiramisu, more like vanilla cake with a chocolate dusting, disappointing. Baklava was also just alright."

Visiting Saint Louis, I decided to try this signature St. Louis desert at the Missouri Baking Co, because of the great reviews... and both the bakery and the butter cake lived up to the reputation. "A friend of ours took us here and it was wonderful. Really nice family owned bakery, been there since 1924 I think. Everything we ordered was delicious. There are not many small family owned bakeries around, enjoy them while they are here. They are extra friendly, be sure to take a number when you get there. Be prepared to wait in line depending on when you get there. They have little short cupcakes that are delightful. I cannot remember what they are called though. Cuccidati is like a fig Newton on steriods."

"I have no other words then WOW. This is amazing, the love, the history, the time put into it, all shines bright. This was beyond just a desert, it was an experience. We came to St. Louis from Arkansas for a vacation and have heard wonderful things about this place. Well they did not let us down, they raised it to the roof then blew that roof off. All the ladies in there were so kind and friendly and I felt as I could have stayed in there forever talking to them and learning about the history. If your local and have not eaten here go, if your from out of town add this to your list of stops. We will always stop by when we are town. Thank you for the joy you brought our family with your love in a box. P.S my kid loved the choclate drop, she rated it a million."
