"The Village staff are all friendly and helpful. The volunteer fire dept is located there also, but the station is not manned unless there is a call for them. Their regular weekly meeting is held Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8 pm. The fire dept staff are friendly and always happy to answer questions, show kids the fire trucks, etc. They are also always looking for volunteers (and there are plenty of roles for volunteers that don't involve going into a burning building)."
