Reviews of Crosstown Square, a WellSpire Community
"From literally the first time I went to tour the Crosstown Senior Living in Silvis, I had already heard about it being a good place to live from a dear, trusted friend, whose mother had moved there. Then, after a fall, and more significant mobility challenges, it became more and more apparent how much I needed a totally handicap accessible affordable apartment. This grandma began praying even more for God's faithful guidance to what HE knew would be the just right place for this season in my life-journey . And it took only a few visits there to believe Crosstown to be His answer to my prayers for this season of my life- journey. Even on my first visit, Crosstown 'residents' were so warmly welcoming to me. I could sense a close, comfortable camaraderie with each other. As a couple of them expressed to me, it was like family living there. That same warmth and gracious hospitality was wonderfully evident in the Crosstown director, Lanette, during the tour and her attentive consideration and time in answering my many questions. The same hospitable tone Lanette set resonated with the gifted activity director, Bernadette and the caring heart of Patty, the resident assistant. The activity calendar looked like a wonderful variety of inspirational, social, fun, activities , and outings. I might have the name wrong, but I remember vividly her caring heart when she shared with me how many years she enjoyed being on the Crosstown team. The same was true of the cleaning lady, who must be also excellent at her job, because literally, every room and hallway was immaculate. Each of the staff members whom I met, certainly seemed to be at Crosstown as a ' labor of love'. ... Last, but certainly not least, my gratitude to Darlene, Ruth, Sherry, and each of the Crosstown family whose warm welcome I really appreciated, and look forward to becoming neighbors with you. God bless you one and all !!!"
"It’s coming to my mom’s first full year at crosstown. Can be hard to catch her in her room. She’s out walking on the outside path with beautiful oak trees were taken part in all activities. knowing she has so many friendly people around her comforts me when I’m not there. We also enjoy having lunch or dinner together. Food is very delicious and a wide variety. It’s a relaxing atmosphere, Home."
"My Father, Robert has just celebrated his 1st year at Crosstown Square in Silvis IL and as his daughter I must shout out how amazing the staff is! Dad is so happy and I know he is well looked after. As a blind, independent, focused man I need to thank everyone at Crosstown and especially Lanette for her professional leadership skills and guidance to all! Their activities, food, staffing, cleanliness, involvement and appreciation shows daily! Keep up the amazing job! It is noticed and I am grateful!"
"My 87 year old mother pushed back for 3 years whenever we brought up the subject of moving from her home of 55+ years. She finally, reluctantly, agreed to tour a few facilities. After seeing what Crosstown Square had to offer and meeting a few of the residence and staff, she was ready. She hasn't expressed any regrets making the move, and myself and other family members all agree she seems happier and in a much better state of mind. Our family highly recommends Crosstown Square."
"My mother is 95. She has been at crosstown for 5 almost 6 years. We searched for places, visited places and took our chance on Crosstown. My mother couldn't be more happier, as well as myself. The people there are not just "workers" but are down to earth caring people. All though it is independent living, they check on their residents. They are fed all 3 meals, have holiday parties, and music get togethers. Not just for residents, but family of residents as well. They go on bus trips to restaurants, or just to see the Christmas lights, or just on a nice summer day to get them out and take a drive. Picnics in the parks too! I have built a friendship my self with the people that work at crosstown. We could not have picked a nicer, more pleasant place for my mom. Well, mom picked!! But she is so happy and mentions all the time she is so lucky to have chosen Crosstown Square. What a blessing they have been for us. Thank you crosstown staff for all your work and caring attitudes. Sandy"
