"The incredible aroma of the food made me so hungry that I could hardly wait until I got my food home! I ordered for pickup via GrubHub app. I'm thinking the app may be providing a guestimate of when it says order is ready for pickup. I'm guessing this is no fault of restaurant - just an FYI if your order through GrubHub. App said order was ready around 2:20, but it wasn't up until 2:45. The original order estimate had a high range of 2:30. I arrived at 2:34, so I wasn't waiting long for the order. Food came out hot - I could tell they just finished making the order. The flavor was amazing, and it was an abundant quantity of food. It's a great value for the $. If you order an entree, anticipate having leftovers. The seasoning was terrific. My whole home smells delicious now. Excellent food. I'll be back"

"Had a delightful meal here with options the whole family enjoyed. Really delicious vegetarian plates as well as meat and fish plates. And then there are great quesadillas and pizzas as well! The location is great, and the interior is cozy. They have outdoor seating as well. Service was attentive. Specifics on the food we ordered: all plates came with veggies—either a carrot/green bean side or a cabbage/potato medley. Both veggie sides were delicious but it wasn’t clear on the menu which veggies were going to come with which plate (just fyi). I had the yellow split peas with veggies and injera, and it came with lentils to the side (so, so delicious). Husband had the roast chicken plate with veggies and rice. It also came with the amazing lentils. My teenage son had a pepperoni pizza, which was served on a thin, cracker style crust with super flavorful sauce and a non-Provel cheese, much to his delight (I’m a STL-style girl but he is not, don’t @ me!). He loved it. My youngest had a cheese quesadilla, which came with a homemade hot sauce and veggies to the side. Everyone was fighting over slices of the quesadilla when she couldn’t finish—it was super tasty! My other son and his friend ordered a shrimp plate and a chicken wing plate. Both enjoyed and both plates looked delicious. Restaurant brought items out as they were ready, not all at once, which we appreciated. Portion sizes are very generous—can easily split any of their entree plates. The pictures below were already several bites in! It’s a great addition to the city’s food scene. We are looking forward to many future meals here!"

"Another meal, another experience—this time, a taste of Ethiopian cuisine at "Eat Today." Though the space is modest, it exudes a simple charm and coziness that makes you feel right at home. The ambiance is enriched by the sounds of East African music, adding an authentic touch that transports you to another place. The lentil samosas were a highlight, offering a delightful contrast between the crispy exterior and the perfectly seasoned, tender lentil filling. The Veggie Plate, featuring more of those impeccable lentils alongside yellow split peas, cooked vegetables, and a side of rice, was equally satisfying. The cheese quesadilla was an unexpected but pleasant addition, and the lamb roast wasn’t a flavorful finale to the meal where I preferred the other options more, I thought it needed a dash of extra seasoning to bring out all the flavour. The spices in each dish were unique and distinctly different from what you’d find in more casual dining spots, adding to the authenticity of the experience. This is a place I’d gladly return to, especially with vegetarian friends in tow, as the menu offers plenty of options for them as well."

"This little spot was great. Their menu was large with lots of veggie options. I got the beef roast with peppers and onions. It came with a cabbage and potato side and green bean and carrots. I also got rice. The service was amazing. The woman serving was quick, kind, and attentive. I was very well taken care of. The food was delicious. I got the beef sambusas as an appetizer. You only get 2 but they were great. The sauce was phenomenal. My entree was great too. I had never really had anything like it before. I want to come back and try their pizza and wings."

"Visiting St. Louis with my friend for a birthday weekend. We are staying within walking distance. Only been here two days so far, and ate here twice! It's a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food is really amazing! Fresh and flavorful. I think my friend and I said "it's so good" after every single bite until our plates were clean. Haven't enjoyed a meal so much in a long time! No overly spicy. Healthy. Makes you feel good and satisfied without feeling heavy and bloated. Vegan and vegetarian as well as gluten free options. If I lived near here, I'd eat here all the time! Cook came out and asked how we were. Everyone is friendly. The rice mixed with grated carrots and the cabbage potato side were my top faves! Eat here. You won't regret it."
