Reviews of The House - A Local Church
"Friendly, comfortable, clean environment. Enjoyed the service. Music was really nice. Worth trying out if your looking"
"I first attended the house in March. The first day I met with Gregg after service and he spoke with me for an hour about their church and the body as a whole. I grew up in the church, but was frustrated with my experiences in the qc. The old truth is unchanged; you'll never find the perfect pastor, the perfect music, the perfect youth program, the perfect Bible study, etc. I am the prodigal. Many of us are. If there's a change God needs be a part of the solution. Otherwise you're just in the peanut gallery. For those like me I hope this review finds you well. Have courage and seek the kingdom."
"If you've ever felt out of place in church before, and you've been searching for a church where you really belong, this is the church home you've been looking for. No religious facades, no unrealistic expectations, just real people, walking out their messy faith together. There are lots of great churches in the Quad Cities, without a shadow of a doubt, but there’s just something unique and special about The House. "Feet to Faith" is a real thing here as they “work to see a massive shift from spiritual homelessness to a strong and undeniable sense of spiritual family in Rock Island and the Quad Cities”. If you’re looking for a church in the Quad Cities to call home, The House Church is a great Christian Non Denominational Church to check out. Give them a go, you won’t regret it!"
"My first impression of this church was that it was nice and inviting. good worship and biblical teaching. One major draw back and one that is vital to church is relationships. I personally reached out to a member of the staff to get to know them. I did not get a call after I was told I would and after me contacting them again I never got a response. I was ready to go back with hopes to get involved but after this I can not bring myself to go again. Really disappointing coming from the leadership. My advice to the leadership is to Let your yes be your yes and your no be your no."
"My wife and I moved here a little over a year ago and The House was the first church we attended. Pastor Gregg and the staff (or "Framework" as they are called) were all very welcoming in a very unassuming and humble way. My wife and I have now been attending for about a year and we definitely feel at home. The people here are very loving and supportive and now we couldn't imagine going anywhere else. There is definitely a desire for community outreach, helping those less fortunate, and for cultivating a deep personal and corporate relationship with Jesus Christ within the church that we really appreciate."
