"My dad passed away and was a Catholic for all of his life. He requested a Catholic funeral, so that is what my family put together. We met with Joseph Wolf form St Ann's Catholic Church in Long Grove, Iowa to finalize his funeral arrangements. We picked three songs and asked that four people give short eulogies. We were assured that our wishes would be followed. Before the service, the priest, JOSEPH WOLF, met my brother and I in the hallway and spoke briefly and during that conversation I could smell alcohol on his breath. It was strong enough that I had to turn my nose away as he spoke. The service started and JOSEPH WOLF did not follow any of the requests. We had given him 3 songs, none were played. He changed the order the speakers and cut the last one off before he could finish. I could smell the alcohol on the breath of JOSEPH WOLF from 2 seats away when we were graveside. The luncheon was inside the church and down the hallway. I confronted him quietly in the hall where no one else could hear and asked if it was a normal for a priest to drink before a funeral. He looked at me and said it was scope. Let me tell you, I was married to an alcoholic for 6 years and can smell liquor and any attempt to cover it up. Scope DOES NOT smell like liquor, nor does it last on your breath for over an hour. I am completely disgusted with St Ann's Church and the leadership of JOSEPH WOLF. He has lived up to his name...in Matthew7:15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. And Revelation 21:8....all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.... Priests that drink before performing funeral services are unacceptable and lying about it makes it even worse. LYING in the house of the Lord."
"No kneelers, no tabernacle, and the crucifix was so small it took me a minute to even find it. We ended up not staying for mass so I cannot comment on the service."
"Nice group of people i felt, i was looked at wierd and felt out of place trying to figure out where i kneel for prayer... just said screw it and knelt or the concrete... ya know you kneel before the Lord when you talk to him"
"My friend had her wedding ceremony and reception here, it's a beautiful church, very well kept. People who work here are amazing and so kind."
"I have never felt like a victim of racism before untill i attended wedding of my care givers daughter, and i am a white man, i left early. now three years latter they do not even sleep together and with help of the priest in charge keeping a 83 year old man dying from seeing his great grand children, and their grandmother. we live less than 15 min away. the priest is drinking buddies with Joe the grandfather of Charles, Cory's husband. if he spent less time drunk with Joe and realized he is helping in the destruction of a family. what kind of priest are you? fair warning this is going to every bishop and cardinal in Iowa"
