Buckhorns Deer Processing

"Deer sausage needs more fat. Was very dry. Had to grind up all of my deer sausage and remake it myself after I paid. Staff is friendly. But I won’t be back"

"Not satisfied! Took 2 deer , 110lbs and 125 lbs. I only wanted the meat cubed and ground, thats what I filled out on the paperwork that stated you receive your deer meat, guaranteed. Anyway, I got 17lbs ground and 5 lbs cubed from the 110 lbs deer, and 44 pounds ground from the 125 lbs deer. These deer were shot in the chest , no wasted meat.When I got in touch, the end result is "that we're all humans" and you did pick your deer up late ,that was all I got , not hey we messed up your order ,help you out next year ,nothing. So 220 dollars later I have no cube, back strap or tenderloins from the 125 deer, and very little meat from the 110 deer. I learned my lesson. Incidentally, they said we had 2 months to pickup deer meat since we were out of state. I killed my deer last week of Feb, started getting texts in 2 weeks saying they would sell deer meat and they were shutting down the freezers."

"You will not find a better processor than Buckhorns! I was blown away by the quality and taste of their meats. The sausage is 2nd to NONE!!! I thought the outfit I used in the past was pretty good. Little did I know!!!!! Andy and crew were open late for drop off and were happy to answer all my questions and help me decide what cuts and flavors I wanted. I can’t say enough about the summer sausage and also the maple sausage. I’ve never been offered a roast, It cooked all day and I can only say WOW!!! If it seems I’m going overboard, believe me I’m not…. You should give them a go, you won’t be disappointed!!! Customer for life!!!"
