"I wanted to take time to say thank you to Duckworth Tire Co. Yesterday my husband and I and our 3 kids were heading to Jekyll Island, 5 hours from home when we got a flat tire right before heading over Sidney Lanier bridge. We thank the Lord for protecting our family, and for Duckworth Tire Co going out of their way to fit us into their super busy day. I know they could have easily told us they didn't have the time or availability, but they knew we had no other transportation and were far from home. Thank you for taking the time to help us replace 2 tires, and also the price was more than fair (we were recently in downtown Atlanta w/ a flat tire and paid more for just one tire because they were not a nice business and we had no other options). Thank you again, your business was a blessing to us yesterday and helped us finish our vacation safely and with minimal inconvenience. Thank you!"

"I had to get a tire repaired due to a nail in the tread, near the sidewall. Many tire dealers will tell you “it’s too close to the sidewall” and force you to buy a new tire. Jason took great care of me and got the tire repaired in less than 2 hours (fine with me as I wasn’t planning on waiting). The price was reasonable and the job was done correctly. Note that Duckworth Tire does pass along credit card processing fees so consider paying with cash and save 4%."

"Absolutely horrendous!!! We are RV travelers from out of town and recently needed some service. I had them do my front brakes even though they were the most expensive place in town simply due to convenience. Shortly after my fuel pump went out and I spoke with them about it. The mechanic told me he would get the owner to approve him to do this for $100 simply because of our situation. The owner, Jamie, refused and they quoted me $330 in labor for what books as a 2.5 hour job. I called around and even had O’Reilly deliver the part to me. I quickly noticed again they were the most expensive but this time by HUGE amounts. Another highly rated shop less than a mile away was $239.16 INCLUDING tax to do the repair. I went back into Duckworth tire and explained to them the difference in pricing and asked for them to even come down to $300 since I would have a $45 tow bill to move my car to the other shop. The office person, Jason, glared at me and stated “that’s our price and I’m not here to negotiate anything with you!” At this point I let him know I would just have it towed from their lot and review the situation. I then walked out and called a tow truck to come move my vehicle to the other shop. As the tow truck was loading my car the mechanic came out telling me the owner was on his way to talk to me because I threatened to do a negative review. My take on this place is that they’re way overcharging the locals and most certainly taking advantage of travelers in times of need. Even the tow operator told me Duckworth was known for overcharging people. Steer clear of this place at all costs!! Update. After this review went out the owner, Jamie, came to my camper threatening me with the Sheriff if I didn’t remove my reviews and videos. He stated “I own this town and what I say goes.” Additionally his employees came outside a started flipping off my teenage children."
