Nestled at 1 Reese Price Road, Lincolnton, Georgia, our location serves as the entrance to the breathtaking Bussey Point Wilderness Recreation Area. Spanning a magnificent 2,545-acre peninsula on J. Strom Thurmond Lake, our campground is the perfect retreat for nature enthusiasts seeking a peaceful escape.

Whether your passion is hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding, Bussey Recreational offers a variety of outdoor activities to indulge in. Our renowned Bussey Point Horse Trail, designed by horseback riders for horseback riders, encircles the peninsula with a scenic 12.5-mile journey. In addition, explore over 20 miles of roads and trails open to all non-motorized adventurers.

Discover the area's rich wildlife, including deer, turkey, and a diverse array of birds and mammals, making it a prime spot for wildlife observation. Our facilities include 15 food plots, six hike/bike/ride/boat-in camping picnic sites, and several natural beaches for your enjoyment.

Adjacent to the wilderness area, our campground boasts 14 primitive campsites, each equipped with a grill, picnic table, and fire ring. While the sites do not have water or electricity, they are all accommodating for campers with horses. Enjoy the convenience of a boat launching ramp, a hand pump for drinking water, and rustic toilets scattered throughout the area.
