"This bank will not cash a check that was issued from it. I recieved a check for a amount less than $20k. They refused to cash it. Even though the issuing bank for check was first citizens. Plus every time I have been to this bank the same old lady just gives off the vibe that she thinks she is above anyone else. Generally, haven't had any good experiences here. I checked with their customer service before wasting my time to drive to this bank. They said that they will cash checks that are issued by them if they have the funds available. They also said that they cash checks for non-members but they charge a $7 cash checking fee. I arrived about 10 minutes after they open. Soon as I handed her the check she said. I won't cash that, Who do you bank with? I told her my bank. She said why don't you just deposit it with them. We'll lady because why have a 1-2 week hold put on it. When I should be able to cash it at a bank that it was issued at. You can easily run the account and see if the funds are there and see if it is fraudulent or not. Then once verified as a legitimate check. You can cash it and I can put the cash in my pocket and take it to my banking institution and deposit it to my account and it would be available that same day. So then I could go and pay all my legal fees that are due 2 weeks ago and have record of it via my bank. But, none of that should be of any of your concern as long as it is a valid legal check. As it is. And I have a valid ID. And they funds are in the account it is being written from. That only you can check because it's a account held by the bank that you are currently working for and refusing to accept thier policies because you don't want to fill.out a irs form. Worst branch of this bank that exist."
