Reviews
"I did see a picnic area, but don't remember seeing a restroom. Nice dirt drive up to the house which was open, to see inside. Great story of her heroism on a marble stand outside. Enjoyed our time there!"
"I've grew up in Elberton so I've always enjoyed visiting this place and retelling her story"
"Fascinating history of revolutionary war heroine. Quiet wooded place."
"Took my wife just came upon it. Nice for a family picnic. Very interesting history"
"This is a very "bare bones" place to visit. If you're into Georgia history like I am, you should at least check it out. Nancy Hart's story is very interesting, as the only woman to have a county named after her. The cabin is a replica but the stone work in the chimney, hearth and entrance steps are original. There's an outhouse if you need to use the restroom and some picnic tables if you want to eat something you brought. Elberton is about ten minutes away from the site, so it's not too remote. That's pretty much all there is to see. I combined a trip to the Georgia Guidestones with this place. The stones are about 25 minutes away. Definitely worth it to see both during the trip out there."
