"Fred Robinson Airport Park, Lanett (Shawmut) Ala. As part of my Lanett Highschool program, I worked and learned to fly there, 1954. Fred Robinson, settled and created the entire area shortly after WWII. He has been essentially forgotten, since his decease. He established the original dirt road with his personal bulldozer, the airfield, genuinely, the entire inhabited area. I was there in 1952, flying models. In 1954 Fred taught me to fly a genuine airplane, Piper J3. Gordon E. Browning, PhD."
