"Service person did not convey that the original key will be disabled by their process. As far as I understand one may add or replace a key code. Service person replaced the existing code without asking about reuse of original key once found and thus disabled the original key with remote features. Guess I should have inquired as to their processes. Now I have an OEM multifunction remote key that will not start the car and 2 non-remote keys which may only manually start the car. Guess I will retry remote start once I replace the original key’s battery. Recommend getting price up front from the service company as Keyme would not give me a price and deferred pricing to service vendor who's price I forgot to verify upfront and wound up as $518 with tax & 2 keys."
