"My son was trying to purchase a multi family to get our family out of the rent cycle. We went to an open house where the sellers agent misrepresented the home as we found out in our inspection. Then he REFUSED to return my sons deposit of $5,000! So much for the American Dream! Now our realtor is taking a cut on another home so we can purchase. This is all SO WRONG and Keller Williams doesn’t seem to care! Disgusting experience for our family. We were even concerned of tenants living there and were willing to hold off closing for up to 90 days so they could find good housing. That agent does food drives, big bravado, I hope $5,000 will help buy everything he needs this week. Harrowing experience and yet he had ‘multiple offers’… hustled my son and getting away with it! Sellers market, the worst part was he didn’t even want to negotiate ANYTHING, so the home should have been listed as ‘AS IS’, we never would have even looked at it if it said that. We’re not investors looking to make good cash on a multi, we are just a normal family trying to be together again and having something for generations to come. Our dreams for that are over due to the sellers agent being ‘pissed off’. Now the home is up for an open house on Monday and I’m afraid for the next first time homeowner that this agent will steal their money as well. PLEASE Keller Williams DON’T allow this horror to happen to another family! And note that the home should be advertised as ‘AS IS’ as the seller refuses to do anything. There’s no brand new roof as he told everyone, our inspector found 72 issues, asbestos, plumbing, electrical, foundation infested, etc. I won’t tell all since I paid the $675 for the report. If you’d like the report I’m more than happy to give it to you once my son gets his $5,000 returned! I can’t believe your truly letting him keep his money because he’s ‘pissed off’. Unacceptable and unethical!"
