Reviews
"Amazing Building, Lots of Space, & Has an Art Room"
"The Main Branch of the New Bedford Free Public Library is currently housed in a neoclassical building that originally served as the city hall. The building had burned in 1906 and was reconstructed by 1908, with a date carved into the cornerstone. This is a good place to sit and relax for a little bit."
"Staff is nice and helpful. Children's room is bare. Every other library I've visited has much more than just books for the kids and I was disappointed to not see that. It was just tables, chairs, and books They did have a children's bathroom with changing table that stays locked which I definitely appreciate. I plan to visit the other locations, hopefully they have better children's sections"
"Excellent collection of books, periodicals, magazines, newspapers etc. Allows borrowing of music items viz. Ukelele, drums, badminton rackets and so much more. Library arranges books from affiliated libraries which are not available with them. Overall, a great place to visit!! Highly recommended to become a member as well!!"
