Reviews of Notre Dame Federal CU
"There's always something happening with my account. Money has been taken out of my account without my consent. They changed there system around which they have the rite to do but what they didn't do was inform they customers off these which I think should have been done to determine if the customer wants to remain a customer or member of there bank. It's all most like they just wake up on certain days and say to themselves, Mondays, wensdays, and fridays were gonna follow the rules but the other is cool not to follow them."
"I have been a Notre Dame member for many years. I used to love them as it was a very warm small town feel and I very much valued the way the credit union operated in making you feel like a person rather than a number. We personally used to work with Ann Marie when it came to personal loans and she was AMAZING! so personable so professional and really knew what she was doing. Sadly she has since retired and the feeling is just not the same. The new head of the loan department is ok but she does NOT return messages and is very difficult to communicate with. She has also given me wrong information in the past. I also believe there is a new assistant manager and to be frank I just don't like how he operates. It feels like he came from a big corporation and he doesn't seem to have the small town credit union feel at all. He's just not representative of what I loved about this credit union for the longest time. I'm sad to say it's just not the same at Notre Dame and once the fees go up there really won't be anything keeping me here anymore. I had a loyalty to this credit union because of the people it employed but I can't say I do anymore. It's very sad. They were once a place I had much respect for in the way that they operated but it feels very much that they are going the same route as a bank now. It's just not the same. Lastly the website seems to have a lot of issues these days. Only works about 75% of the time. When there is an issue it's not usually fixed very quickly as I believe their provider is in Texas? Or so one of the employees told me. Not very convenient when my primary account is here."
"I have been a member for 50+ years and NEVER had a problem! Always been accommodating for whatever I needed. They may be a bit trailing behind in technology but, keep in mind they are a one location CREDIT UNION, not a Bank. I appreciate being known when I walk in or call."
"The Assistant Manager, Bryant Anderson, Jr will not let me pay my own tax bill. The Loan Department is currently short handed due to COVID-19. The reason I found out is that my Tax Bill has not been paid yet which is due on Monday. They will not be able to mail them out until Monday when the Loan Department will be staffed at that time. Which means it will not arrive on time through the mail. Being a former employee who always pays my bills on time, I was told I could not have my bill to go to the Tax Office to pay my bill in person. Once again the management under him is atrocious and I am closing all of my accounts due to him."
"I had my mortgage with Notre Dame. My house caught fire last November. Insurance check came in and it was deposited to do repairs. They took the money for the repairs and instead paid the mortgage off. Without my consent. I would never recommend this bank . Not there for members they are out for themselves. The assist manager is the most unprofessional banker I have ever met . Protect your interests and not theirs. Further this house is my childhood home in Fall River. I have left countless messages with the manager to no avail. Both my insurance Co and fellow colleagues have never heard of such a thing. Caution People......"
