The woman in the gift shop was warm and friendly and offered plenty of information. Also, the grounds were beautifully kept. Would recommend checking it out, regardless of what you believe in, as it's a beautiful place that is open to all."

"An unmatched treasure on the South Shore! There is something richly undefinable at Glastonbury Abbey. It is a thing you feel when you spend time there. Glastonbury Abbey is a Benedictine Monastery located in Hingham, MA. The chapel, bell tower, labyrinth, gift and book store, buildings and the Stations of the Cross (outside) are all perched on one of the most luscious parcels of land on the South Shore of Boston. There are numerous trails that meander through the variable habitat. Matching the exquisite setting are all the monks of Glastonbury Abbey whose wisdom, guidance and spiritual knowledge are a much needed resource in todays world. In addition the staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming. The Stations of the Cross are in a paved loop around the Abbey grounds where you can stroll past herb and perennial gardens, the community gardens, labyrinth and even the goats in the premises! Pokemon Go has brought more people to Glastonbury Abbey since last July when the Niantic game launched. Every Station of the Cross is a Pokestop, and there are Pokestops scattered about the grounds. There are also two Pokemon Gyms on the grounds. There are always events happening at Glastonbury Abbey including retreats, lectures, community groups, holiday events and more. The newly designated and updated Morcone Center is a retreat and spirituality center suitable for multiple purposes. Equipped with internet ready flat screens, a full service kitchen, private meeting rooms, and an expansive conference area, the Morcone Conference Center is ideal for many purposes and available for rental."
