Reviews
"Not good service. Can’t even access the ATM after hours. The card reader on the door doesn’t work."
"I came to this location to clear out my Deseaced Father’s Account. I had all the proper documents, even had the raised seal, I had paid a Lawyer to assemble all the documents. Bank manager “Elenora” had previously given me a hard time when I initially came in and the account was closed. She would not assist me and was so rude to me that I published a previous negative review. On October 27, she, and another higher level employee, told me that I had the wrong documents. Elanora raised here voice at me multiple times, telling me, “You should have listened to what I told you a month ago.” I found this very insulting, it seemed like she was championing the fact that she thought I had the wrong documents. I told my attorney & he told me to go to the Revere Office, where they told me that I did have the correct documents and that Elenora was wrong! She wasted an additional work day of mine. I would recommend that anyone stays away from this location, poor management. I would like a written apology for her incorrectness & her rudeness. When people have deaths in the family, they should be treated with extra respect. Elanora was extra rude and abusive. You have to realize that it's very stressful losing a parent and not having the proper planning in the family will. When you have someone like Elenora who harasses you in public, it is very stressful."
"Have never had a problem here and have been going for over 10 years. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Update 5/31/22: Taking off two stars for the following reasons: 1-The vestibule with the ATM machine is beyond hot. It's sweltering and extremely uncomfortable. 2-The ATM machine in said vestibule is frequently out of service. 3-I see a high turnover of people, good people and excellent employees, because Citizens does not do enough to retain their employees. Give these people raises. These three things make Citizens appear very cheap and not empathetic at all to customer's need for comfort and dependability. Update 8/18/22: Taking off another star. Went in last night to use the ATM and the machine promptly kept my card in the slot and would not let it go. The message on the screen changed to "This ATM is temporarily out of service". Thank you Citizens!"
"I am very disappointed with the customer service that a citizens bank employee named Balvina had with my business associate. We’ve been customers of citizens bank for more than 10 years. All of our accounts activity is in the records. My business associate has a driver's license from out of state. Recently, he changed his address in the bank's system to a MA address. We wanted to open a business account and when she requested our IDs, Balvina asked why my associste didn't have a Massachusetts driver's license. To which he replied that he would process it later. Her second question was, when? Is she an immigration agent? We try to explain to her that the address in the system is the current one in Massachusetts. How? She asked, If this account has been opened since 2012. Even though we explained that my associate lived in another state and returned, there was no reason she would understand and we felt very discriminated against. My husband raised his voice asking her why she came up with those questions. To which she replied that it was for security. Security as an immigration officer? She should be asking in a different way not focused on his legal status. Even though, the business address is a different of the personal. We are very upset, we decided to leave the branch. Hopefully they take care of this type of actions in the future because it seems that they do not have space for immigrants. This type of behavior is unacceptable. We know we have bad days sometimes, but she never stepped back on her behavior, she didn’t apologized. We are immigrants, I own a restaurant I know how people can act, when they assume their privilege."
"Walked in to deposit $700 in cash. Line out the door, manager of the branch sitting in her office with the lights off. Decided to use the ATM, which proceeds to eat my $700 cash deposit. Get back in line to wait to speak to an agent (Teresa-who was very nice and apologetic about the wait and my situation). They said it was a fault of the machine and there was nothing they could do about it. Manager shooed me off as if there was nothing wrong. I live in a very small town. Without my knowledge, a person that was in line behind me, ended up writing about the interaction on an online forum. The comments from the towns members make it seem like this is an ongoing issue with the management and the ATM…. Why is the ATM still available if it is constantly malfunctioning?"
