"Awful customer service that I just experienced. I talked to a customer rep about closing my account and then they didn't do in a timely manner like they said they would and because I moved my money into a different bank, they're now hitting me with overdraft fees which would not be the case if my account was CLOSED! And they refuse to refund me the overdraft fees. This is how you treat a loyal customer for the last five years who has been nothing but responsible with your accounts? Good riddance."
"This is the worst bank I have ever had. I moved to MA and wanted a credit union so opted for this one since it was nearby. Big mistake. I tried to do everything online and the system wouldn't let me. I went in and the staff complained in front of us that we didn't do it online even though their system told us to come in. The customer service is never helpful over the phone either. They make everything way more complicated than it has to be and I end up having to use my other bank for everything. The app is not user friendly at all and you have to set up different logins for each account (if you have a joint account and personal account for example) rather than them being linked. I will definitely be closing my account soon."
"I got an account here out of convenience for the location but its gone downhill in the at least 4 years Ive been a customer. I had a personal issue that put my account in arrears, I own that. It was my first and only time. I called customer service twice after my account was in the clear. They sent me docusigns to get a new card. I filled them out but no card. Did they tell me they closed my checking account because of it? No. Did they tell me that I could no longer get a debit card or what their policy is? No. After several months I go into the Quincy location on the morning of 8/8, to be told I can have an ATM and I can't get a new checking account until 6 months from the time I was out of the negative. News to me! I leave the bank for my card not to work. And I can't access my savings to pay my rent. I go into the S Boston branch today hoping for resolution. And not only are the short staffed so there goes my lunch break.... but the card was supposed to be activated. It still does not work. The gentleman in S Boston was pleasant but the lack of customer service, empathy, and communication with all others I've dealt with is an embarassment."
"Very rude when I came in to open up an account, made me wait forever then that barbie lady had the worst attitude the whole time. I needed a simple question asked when I left and she said to leave and call them when I get home, and when I did I was on hold indefinitely despite there being 5 people sitting doing nothing when I left. It has been 2 days and I still don't know the answer to my question. They have almost no business yet act entitled and unwilling to help If you want a credit union with the bare minimum threshold of customer service, look elsewhere"
"I had difficult estate planning issue, Laura at the Quincy branch call me 3-4 times after researching my issue. She was pleasant, very informed and most of all highly effective on my behalf. Since when does a larger bank call the customer back? Three times she called me. Just great customer experience!!"
