"Terrible service, unhelpful. Don’t waste your time using this branch."
"Bad experience with a person named Terrie. You need better people who have patience and empathy dealing with some clients. Train better. Banking should not be painful."
"One of the Branch Managers named Abir helped me get started solving a tough situation. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and the lobby itself is very nice."
"A little over a week ago I went into the store to create a new bank as my current one was locked while under investigation for fraud. When walking in I was greeted by a male attendant and he was asking me what service I was interested in. I responded that I was looking to make a checking account. After, I gave my response a woman attendant interjected into the conversation and asked me in a rude tone if I was a citizen. I immediately responded “excuse me” and she then back tracked and tried to explain herself. I immediately decided to take my business elsewhere. I have never been so blatantly profiled. As I do also understand that legal status is a question asked while filling out the process but it was an obvious attempt at profiling as she was not involved in the conversation and quickly realized her mistake."
"Bank Representative Ekta Gupta racially profiled me to open a basic checking account. I have never had an experience like this in my life. I was moving out of state and my bank does not have a branch in IL, Chase does. I thought I would get ahead of one of the many errands by opening the account before I left. I provided proof and documentation. Ekta gave me the third degree and asked me many questions I believe were unnecessary for a basic checking account and am almost certain it was due to my race (and no I do not pull the race card). She asked me why I was moving out of Boston, she asked if my family lived with me here, she asked why I was leaving my bank, she asked how much money I would be depositing each month. After socially distancing the entire time, she had no problem standing over me pretending to instruct me how to use the app’s new credit feature but really did it to view my credit score. All of this for a checking account. Condescending and calculating behavior. I am now dealing with other issues from Chase as a result of Ekta’s overreach. As soon as I felt the vibe from her which seemed to deem I was undesirable and had to jump through hoops to prove myself I should have went to another branch."
