"Scam artists. They'll get you to switch with a cheaper cost. Then they will start making force changes to your policy and increase it drastically. I went from paying 170 to 300 with no changes other than they received an exclusion paper 1 day late (because they do everything by paper, no online ease). The agents are jokes too if you even talk to one. STAY AWAY. I had Geico before and regret switching to save."

"Stay away, cheap is not better! If you are unfortunate enough to need to file a claim with them, the Insurance Commissioner of MA is your best friend, do not be afraid to use them. Your "agent" probably won't call you or return your messages. If they give up, they will close your case without telling you. Their supervisor won't pick up your calls or return your messages either! Then when you take your car to the shop, the appraiser will wait a week or two before going to take a look at your car. She will then sit on the supplement for at least 3 more weeks before sending it to your shop so that they can fix your car. All in all, cheap is not better. Get an agent. I switched from this pathetic company and saved 400 on my premiums while getting better coverage and a lower deductible! It has been 10 weeks since I've canceled, and my refund has not arrived yet! I have contacted this company twice already about my refund. Shows you how pathetic and despicable this company really is, as if my experience above was not enough."

"ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Body shops in the area refuse to service cars if they are going through Progressive and now I see why. Terrible customer service! They’re going on 42 days without giving a vehicle an estimate. It’s just been sitting in the shop. I myself have been told many times that they were coming to inspect my vehicle for an estimate and they keep moving the goal post. They don’t care about their customers. They take forever to inspect your car, issue payments, and just all around are no help at all. I am switching once my vehicle gets repaired."

"DO NOT GET INSURANCE with this company at all. Regardless of branch. It’s just the company itself. Takes forever to verify ANYTHING. Hours on end waiting for answers. Everything is lengthy and time consuming. Just get yourself some real insurance somewhere else. Terrible non-issues-solver company."

"I guess another bad review won’t hurt Progressive but my hopes is that people read reviews before they choose an insurance company to work with. Worst customer service I experienced, had a claim and needed to be calling them to get information, they were silenced , last time I spoke with them I asked to speak with a supervisor they said they were not allowed to transfer calls to the supervisor and that the supervisor would call me , days later and have not heard from supervisor or anyone . A little detail on the whole claim situation whoever was assigned to my claim showed no empathy to the situation and said I was more than welcome to take them to court."
