"I am very disappointed with this bank and the Waltham Branch Manager for their ridiculous customer support. I had an issue with a gift card but they told me so many clauses which wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the card. They refused to give my money back nor credit it back to the original source. I highly recommend not to purchase anything from them as have so many hidden rules and policies! Such an awful experience."
"Ibeth, the branch manager in Waltham, was truly exceptional in assisting me with my loan issues. Her dedication and expertise shone through as she patiently went over the numbers with me during my three visits to the branch. Thanks to her, the discrepancy was identified and soon resolved. I am incredibly grateful for her outstanding support and professionalism. She made a daunting process much smoother, and I couldn't have asked for better help."
"I figured going to my bank to get a debt consolidation loan would be a good idea. Boy was I wrong. Originally when I called I was told by the rep that loans were around 10% which is decent for this type of loan. Finally after requesting documents for 3 weeks straight, not returning my calls and ONLY communicating via email, the offer I received was dismal. 16.9% interest on 25k would take longer to pay back than to just make my monthly minimum cc payments. Extremely misleading and I will not be banking with RTN/MCVU moving forward."
"I made the mistake of taking out a loan with this organization. When I was a few days late on a loan payment, they marked me as 30-60 days late, dinged my credit rating and the credit rating of my cosigner, and sent me to collections as a "serious collections problem", at which point I started receiving threatening phone calls from them. They acknowledged this was wrong in writing and did absolutely nothing to correct it, and then even did the same exact thing the following month. At no point has a payment I made to this organization ever been late. They have lied to me in writing and in person on multiple occasions. My cosigner asked them in person on the status of this loan and at that point they lied to and misled him on what actions have been taken and what needs to be taken. They also lied to me and provided me with information that was at odds with both what they had communicated to my Cosigner, what they had communicated to credit bureaus, and the reality of what actually occurred. I have discussed this at length with John Cannata in their collections department. He has never communicated a single accurate piece of information. He has lied to me on multiple occasions, and when I pointed out the multiple lies both from himself and other RTN employees, he stopped acknowledging those points entirely and pivoted to other lies. His responses are always incoherent and he cannot keep his lies straight. At one point he asked me for an affidavit from another bank to back up my claim. When I provided this information, he stopped responding to my inquiries altogether. He is a coward and a completely unethical human being. I have reported this organization to the NCUA and RTN has lied to them on multiple occasions about what they have communicated to me, the times they took to communicate to me, and what actions could be done to correct this. To date no corrective action has been taken by RTN. I sent a letter to executives including Nicole James and Gary Chandler who both ignored my complaints despite being provided clear evidence of wrongdoing, mismanagement of financial information, and reporting factually incorrect information to credit bureaus. Gary Chandler, legal counsel and an agent of the court, turned a blind eye to wrongdoing at the organization he works for. He deserves to be disbarred. I have asked this organization to take me to court over this dispute. They have this far refused to do so. I have a copy of every lie and factually incorrect line they have spewed to me and will gladly share them for the whole world to see. I have tried to resolve my issues with RTN diplomatically but RTN has this far refused to abide by the legally binding document I have signed with them. There will be a lengthy legal battle for me ahead. Don't make my mistakes - do not do business with this organization or their friends in Merrimack Valley Credit Union. Help put this group out of business for good."
