Berkshire Bank

"Worst bank I've ever used. When you use an ATM at another bank, not only do you get charged a fee from that bank, BB charges you an additional $3 fee. They deactivated my card after they contacted me about a suspicious charge, and didn't tell me about it. I tried it at a few stores, before I called them to figure out why it was being denied. I then tried to get a new card, (don't know why they didn't automatically send me one when they cancelled the old one) but the customer service woman denied my request after I couldn't provide her with some password - even though I'd given her all of my vital info, SSN, mother's maiden name, etc. She said I had to come in. I did, to withdraw all of my money."

"i have had it with this bank, went there to make a simple deposit 3 days ago, the lobby is closed............no stated reason......just closed...........so today, i go to the webpage for the Allendale branch............nothing said about the lobby being closed, so i called, get the answeing machine of someone. USELESS to me. So , of course, when i get there , the lobby is closed. i do not wish to use the drive through. An open lobby is one of the few and more important services i require. Inexusable not to either put it on your webpage, or have someone actually answering the phone. DUH !. Willard Brown, customer for more than 20 years."

"The teller publicly insulated my mother, questioning her on how she was able to deposit the amount of money she was depositing insisting that the only way it was possible is if the check was fraudulent. Disgusting way to treat her since she has been banking at this terrible location for as long as it's been there. As a bank shouldn't you be happy that a person trusts your establishment with their money. Poor taste from a bad bank. Avoid them."
