"Love this library! The staff are so friendly, relaxed and helpful...it is such a pleasure to interact with them. And the children's activities and programming are phenomenal...it rivals the extensive and diverse programming that large libraries in affluent metropolitan areas offer."
"Much fancier than your average small town library, Lee Library is a neoclassical or Corinthian style made of the town’s signature marble. This building is “the only remaining Carnegie library building in the Berkshires” according to the library website. A plaque on the side of the building near the main entrance demonstrates that this has been an important site to the town even before the library. The original building on the property was a log cabin owned by Peter Wilcox, a leader during Shays’ Rebellion in 1786. Several years prior, in 1777, locals used his house for the first town meeting."
"Loved the History of Lee display. Great job, Historical Society. So much work."
"Lots of resources & free WiFi. Reading room and computers."
"Used to go here as a child. Always found what I wanted. Haven't been in years tho but its still a place to go check out. Beautiful building and memorials."
