"Great food located wonderfully on the water. Perfect spot to grab something to eat right before taking the boat ride around Cumberland Island."
"Food was good. Service excellent. Water views outstanding! However, I think the place can use a makeover. Seating and flooring was on the sticky side and the place had a smell of old grease. Otherwise, it's in a prime location on the waterfront."
"I’m not sure how or why this place doesn’t have 5 stars!! The whole entity of this place was amazing. We came for lunch today on a date day today and oh my word, what a beautiful place. The weather was permitting today so we sat on the patio, and between the music, our service, and the food, we will be returning. When we walked in, we were greeted by the host and what a doll! I wish I would’ve snagged his name because he truly added to the warmth of the place. Our servers name was Max, and when I tell you he had the PERFECT timing… my goodness! Not overbearing but not absent! He literally came around as needed, made sure our drinks were filled and that we were enjoying our time. If you’re not a local and you’re visiting, definitely ask for him! He will definitely make you feel like you’re one of the locals. Overall, beautiful experience and cannot wait to return! Pictured is the club sandwich which my fiancé said as amazing! I personally had the crab cake southwestern salad and that was amazing as well! They also had a beautiful variety of wines! If you ever can’t decide on where to eat, Brett’s Waterway Cafe is the place!"
"Had been trying to visit for ages but couldn't get in due to the long waits. Early on a weekday in winter scored a nice indoor window seat with a view of the water. Outdoor tables with a view were available too but a bit too chilly in January. Service very good, friendly, attentive. Fries very good, fish sandwich a little mushy. Adjacent parking lot is always full. Even with the restaurant not full, most likely due to folks parking there and walking over to the shops on Centre St. Restaurant exits out to the wharf with a nice view of the charter boats and plenty of shore birds."
"Brett's Waterway Cafe sets at the end of Front Street by the marina. There is ample parking in the public lot by the restaurant. There are several handicap spaces also. The restaurant has curb appeal setting next to the water. Inside was well lit and clean. It’s busy around lunch time. It’s best to get there early. We were seated in about 5 minutes. The view from the restaurant is relaxing and beautiful. The seating staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server arrived quickly and was friendly and pleasant. She checked back often to ensure we had everything we needed. My order arrived in a reasonable amount of time. It was visually appealing and a good quantity of food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich comes with coleslaw, BBQ sauce, onion straws, and a dill pickles on a bun. The pork was tender and mostly juicy and had a good flavor. There were a couple of dry hard pieces. The BBQ sauce moistened the pork. It had a good taste and slight tangy. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. It was a very pleasant lunch."
