"Nice views of SSA boats at dock"
"Excellent staff, nice facility, very convenient location! Edit. The above statement remains true, however, I will say, they are not cheap! Then again, what is cheap that has the word "marine" in front of the title? I had A LOT of work done on my vessel in this yard. Well over a half mil $. That being said, with so many things being done, we had our fair share of issues. Dave, the manager, is a very respectful shipyard manager. We had some discrepancies in our bill, but worked them out for the most part. Not cheap though! As I already stated. As for a customer, we should have been a delight for this shipyard, as most our work was done by outside contractors. Just the electronics alone, the shipyard made $30k plus by making a phone call. I'm not saying this in a negative way. I would recommend this shipyard for; yacht owners that have plenty of money, insurance claims and if you don't mind paying more, the work is high quality. I lived in the yard for nearly 5 months. Got to know some folks there fairly well. Dave, the manager, was a delight to work with. Especially due to the complexity of our boat and the work that needed to be done. Thanks Dave. I'm sure I'll see you again."
"Yard does not return calls, unless they think they can extract cash from you. Just spoke to a person who stayed there last winter for storage with his 36 foot sailboat. Said they were horrible, poor customer service and would not give him the time of day on some work needed. They only care about larger boats. You have to wonder where these morons were bred, in most yards I should add."
"They did a great job on repairs. Due to regulations They're very strict on letting you do your own work on you boat. As an added bonus there are many tried and true marine supply companies and shops in the area that can rebuild any part you take to them. Need a new prop or an old one worked on? Go a few blocks to the north, there's a prop shop. Need a new net or lines? There's a shop a few streets over. Their business is certainly good but the real benefit of this Marina is the convenience of location."
"I was at Fairhaven Shipyard for a survey on a 2013 Hatteras GT54 on August 22, 2016. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with!"
