International Church of the Nazarene

Welcome to the International Church of the Nazarene, a vibrant and welcoming place of worship located at 286 Pleasant Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts. Our church is dedicated to fulfilling God’s call to compassion and helping individuals and families deepen their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Rooted in our foundational Articles of Faith, we embrace essential truths that guide every aspect of our practice and community life. Our Core Values define our identity, support our vision, and help shape our church culture.

Under the leadership of Rev. Manuel Chavier and our dedicated team, we offer a variety of ministries designed to support and nurture our congregation and the wider community. The Rose Ministry, for example, is a vibrant community for women, encouraging spiritual and relational growth through events and outreach.

We believe in the power of unity within diversity, inspired and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our men's ministry is committed to helping men grow in Christ, becoming disciples who lead and encourage others on their spiritual journey. We host fellowship and scripture-sharing events every third Saturday, fostering growth and camaraderie.

Our "We are Esther" ministry draws inspiration from the life of Queen Esther, focusing on fasting, prayer, and community outreach to bring comfort and support to all.

At the International Church of the Nazarene, worship is more than just a Sunday activity; it is a lifestyle. We encourage free expression in worship, focusing on both personal and communal adoration of God. Our worship services aim to transform lives through music and heartfelt praise.

Led by Rev. Monteiro, who has been with us since 2013, our church has been blessed with strong leadership and a forward-looking vision. Our youth worship team and various ministry groups provide opportunities for all ages to connect, grow, and serve.
