"Nice guy but challenging to get things done timely. Originally was told by Dr Rogers that I had peroneal tendonitis and hind foot varis. Sent to PT, and told to rest. Followed up in a month and said we need an MRI so in the meantime could do whatever exercise I wanted. Took 5 weeks to get MRI and results, a lot of frustrating conversations with the front desk woman to the point where I felt uncomfortable calling and asking anything because of how aggressive she was towards me. Was forced to use an MRI location he preferred that was far away and extremely difficult to deal with who screwed up the insurance claim. Finally got the results of the MRI which indicated Achilles tendinitis. I would have been better off sticking with the PT and rest all along, now in pain and back to square one."

"If I could provide zero stars I would. Terrible bed side manners and explained nothing. Basically told my 10 year old son that he did not handle pain well. I brought him in to provide relief of an in grown toe nail that was obviously infected and he simply cut a tiny piece of his nail and inwas charged $145 after insurance. Needless to say he showed no improvement. Thank goodness I kept an appointment with another podiatrist who was Roger's polar opposite and took care of the issue."

"At 70+ years old I ride my bicycle 5,000+ miles a year and also do a lot of hiking. Unfortunately I also have gout which over the years has left tophi deposits in my foot and caused damage in the foot to the extent that bike riding was severely diminished due to pain and walking much over 30 minutes was problematic. After consulting my GP and having some x-rays done she said you need to see a foot doctor. I spent the next few months on and off researching podiatrists. Unfortunately there is no big recommendation list on podiatrists. I can get a recommendation for some obscure cuisine far more easily than I can for a podiatrist so people, you need to leave reviews! I got lucky and chose Dr. Rogers based on his nearby location, the Foot and Ankle website, that he was in network for my Advantage plan and his reviews. A meet and greet was scheduled and subsequent MRI scans. We had another meeting to discuss the MRI scan results and his recommendations. Dr. Rogers recommended fusing the last joint in toes 1-4 with a plate and screw in #1, pinning 2, 3 and 4, cleaning out the tophi deposits and fixing whatever else was wrong. He also talked about outcome expectations on my part and that if I wanted to proceed I needed to undergo a vascular assessment to determine adequacy of blood flow for healing post op. Procedure is outpatient and was done at Charlton in Fall River. The experience at Charlton was excellent. Early AM surgery and home by late afternoon. Nerve blocker wore off the following day but for me, I only felt the need for oxy on night three. Not putting any weight on my foot for 8 weeks was a PITA but other than that and utter boredom, that period was uneventful. The pins came out after 8 weeks and after 10 weeks I began seven sessions of supervised physical therapy all the while walking ever increasing distances. And here we are, 16 weeks later and fully discharged. Every expectation I had from doing the surgery has been met. I continue the PT exercises and my normal workout regime. I was able to get in a couple of bike rides before the snow, riding was pain-free and I look forward to riding 2+ hours/day as before. Dr. Rogers skill, both as a surgeon and as a communicator is exemplary. At some point my other foot will need work and I'm going back to Dr. Rogers."
