Reviews
"I love Dr. Ruggieri and his staff. I have never had any problems or issues."
"Their phone system is a disaster. Almost impossible to get a hold of anyone in that office. I have been trying to resolve a simple problem with the insurance company and needed the office to help and have gotten no where. If I ran my company like this I wouldn't have had a company. I received one call back and was told to call back but that's not possible."
"I was in his care at a nursing home. He wouldnt prescribe my meds i was on in the hospital. The hospital told them what meds i would be taking and he declined to give them to me. After fighting on the phone he finally prescribed them AT THE WRONG DOSE! he then took away my pain patches and will be out and going into withdrawals with no plan to wean me off. Avoid this guy at all cost. He was also very rude and didnt care about anything i said. You can tell he dosent like his job and couldnt care less about his patients. Poor excuse for a dr. Sadly alot of drs are just like him"
"I have been a patient of Dr. Richard R for approximately 15 years now. I am shocked to hear some of the reviews about the bad experience that other patients have had. I must say I have never ever experienced anything like that in my 15 years of coming to this office. The receptionist, the doctor and all the staff, even the blood center downstairs have always been professional, kind, courteous, and very helpful with any questions that I’ve had. The office has always called me back with results of bloodwork, they have always given me referrals to whatever specialist that fit my needs, including urologist, and other specialist as well. I never felt more cared for in my 57 years of going to the doctor . The woman that checks you out in a little small office is amazing, kind, courteous, very uplifting and spiritual, and when you go into the small office to check out, she always greets me with a very warm, gentle welcome. She always leaves me with words of encouragement and always makes me feel confident when I leave that office that all my needs have been met and I look forward to coming back for my next visits . Dr. Richard has been the best primary care physician that I’ve ever had the honor of being treated by. I know sometimes when you go to the doctor with health needs, they can be a little overwhelming, but be patient and courteous to them because they work very hard to help people. I know over the years there have been some new receptionist but I’ve never had any issues with them and the staff that has been working there for as long as I have been going. They has always been kind and generous and compassionate. I will continue to use this office for my medical needs up until retirement and even beyond if possible. Dr. R I appreciate your professionalism, knowledge your good advice as well as your treatment."
"If I could give zero stars for this doctor’s office I would. I have been a patient for 8 years and never had health issues, so my yearly physical went smoothly. BUT, if you have medical issues, or need to come in for other appointments beware. I went to the hospital ER on Monday for something pretty major. I have left multiple voicemails and even messaged this office on the online portal not to get a response. I finally called again today and someone actually picked up the phone. I told them what happened to me, and that the ER wants me to follow up with my neurologist. The girl told me I would have to make an appointment with Dr. Ruggieri, and THEN after my appointment I can get the referral which just delays the process. This is for a serious medical incident that needs follow up with the neurologist asap. I told her that my documentation on my ER paperwork says to follow up with a neurologist and she told me she would have to ask the doctor and get back to me. (Meanwhile, while I’m talking to her I hear her sighing exaggerated and loudly in the rudest way.) Haven’t heard back from her today yet. This is the second bad experience I have had, but it was the one that made me change my PCP, but I am not changing doctors for two weeks. The first experience was when I left work early in June, and went in for having some health issues. When I made the appointment, no one told me I had a balance for a tele-health call I had during COVID. My husband and I were in the middle of a real estate transaction, and I only had the money on me to cover my copay for the appointment. I asked her if I could go home and call in to pay for the tele-health appointment. She told me i would have to speak to the office manager. So the office manager came out and made a scene in the waiting room over $25. She told me I would have to cancel my appointment and come back another time if I couldn’t pay the balance. Telling a patient of 8 YEARS THIS. It was embarrassing and appalling. I highly do NOT recommend this office. The only pleasant and competent person working is the girl behind the desk when you leave the office. Everyone else has no customer service skills, makes you feel like a jerk for asking health question, and even the doctor makes you feel rushed. So glad to be changing doctors soon!"
