Expect hours on hold, weeks before voicemails are returned & a disorganized phone system that is bound to give you a headache you didn’t have. I’ll be exploring new primary care providers ASAP."

"Horrible. I contacted them back in May about getting my medical records for a job. Called them weekly for a month and a half about getting them but they kept telling me I’m not waiting long enough for them to come in the mail. It’s been a month. When I call to see if I can pick them up they are rude and tell me to continue waiting. I’m at risk of loosing my job because they are unable to return a phone call or send documents. This is not my first complaint with their office either. The Doctor herself is nice but it’s not worth any of the hassle."
"Very unhappy with office, while I understand they are extremely busy and short staffed. The phone issues have been going on long before Covid hit. It takes hours to get through and when I do I still get the service. Despite sending messages through the service as well as other offices to reach the practice manager I still have yet to receive a call back. I called two weeks ago to have a doctor referral sent for a very important appointment and still don’t have the referral. Feeling frustrated , I would think twice about joining this office right now."
"Similar to other reviews I’ve seen I also got hit with a $400 new patient charge that I wasn’t made aware when I scheduled a physical. What I thought was an appointment for my physical was just a way to charge me the $400. I had to come back for the actual physical. The physical covered all the same areas as the “new patient meeting” plus many more areas and included an EKG. The bill for that was much less than the “….welcome, open up your wallet appointment”. I needed the physical for work so I ate it. I only had the need for a yearly physical and it was always with the nurse practitioner who was very nice so I stayed with the practice. Recently I had a medical emergency that required hospitalization. I was told by the Dr. Kersten’s office that I had to go in for a follow-up after a stay in the hospital in order to get a referral to the specialist. I told them I already had the appointment and didn’t need the referral with my insurance plan. I was told I had to come in anyways as Dr. Kersten was the PC and she needed to be kept in the loop. She read my discharge papers and commented on stuff that was covered in the papers and with already discussed with the doctor in the hospital. She provided no useful input. She left the office for 5 minutes to print out lab work that was needed for the specialist visit I had already scheduled. She looked at them and told me the specialist would discuss it with me and handed me the print out. I then told her I had some basic questions about my issues and she looked very put off. I started with my first question. She gave a half- hearted answer and said that we could discuss further on the next visit and then walked out of the room and stood in the hallway and waited for me to leave. The lack of care and professionalism was staggering. I was charged $600 for a 15 minute visit and a 3 page print out that the specialist already had. When I called to complain I was told…too bad we coded things correctly and the insurance company approved the charges. Needless to say I left the practice. I have a new doctor now….there was no welcome to the practice charge, she has a wonderful personality and is very giving of her time. It is very refreshing."
