"Terrible scam doctors office. I called to get ask for a prescription to be called in for malaria pills for an upcoming trip and was told I would have to schedule a video chat. Fine. I had the video chat, five minutes of me saying I was going to Kenya and needed malaria pills and the doctor saying she would call it in. Done. I then came home to a bill for several hundred dollars for a "telehealth appointment." It was not mentioned to me that this would count as a billable appointment, especially since in the past I have never been charged for asking for a prescription and my husband, who goes to a different Lahey office and got prescribed the same pills, was able to be prescribed over the phone without a billable video call. After calling my insurance company to hopefully get this partially covered, This doctors office has no transparency and I have had multiple issues with them in the past - for example being charge $600 for mentioning that my knee was acting up at my yearly physical and getting no help beyond advice that I could go to physical therapy if I wanted to. Still no idea what the issue was. Beware, they are coming up with very creative ways to scam you without telling you."
