"Interesting reading these reviews. I’ve had three different issues that Bryan has helped me with (shoulder, back, and foot). In all three instances he led me on the path of recovery. I am a very active middle aged man who wanted to be able to perform sports despite injuries. Bryan is not a “quick fix” PT. He’s not going to give you cupping, needles, or ultrasound and send you in your way. He wants to get to the root of the issue and fix it so you can enjoy a lifetime of health. So yes he is going to work you hard to get you back. Some people don’t like this approach, but I thought he was positive, insightful, and set forth a timeline for me to be back in the game! I highly recommend Bryan to anyone who is serious about getting better. I just sent my 75 year old father to him who is recovering from a double lung transplant and a stroke as I am so confident in his methods and knowledge!"
"I'm an athletic guy, now in my 50s. I've been helped by a lot of physical therapists over the years. Bryan is by far the best I've ever worked with. I went to see him with a series of severe problems brought on by two different back injuries; I'd already put in a ton of time with two other PTs, but had gotten nowhere. Then a colleague (who'd been through a similar story with his shoulder) referred me to Agile North. Bryan has put me through months of hard work, but it's paid off huge: now I'm going to the gym 3x/wk, running, and sleeping right again. Bryan is super intense, with super results. He really, really cares about making you healthy. In preparing to go see him, think about the following: 1) Communication is crucial. Bryan wants to understand your story in detail, and has a ton of information to share with you in turn. - When you fill out the intake forms with your history, be thorough. Tell him what you've tried and what you're thinking. He's going to read it and think about it seriously. - When you go to see him, *listen*. I've done a lot of PT and I thought I knew the drill, but on my first visit I barely said anything for 40 minutes, and the more I listened the more he surprised me with incredibly important things I'd never heard before. Bryan is going to try to deeply reframe the way you think about things in order to point you in the right direction, and he needs time to do it. Let him talk, and listen. 2) Bryan is going to help you get your body operating at full capacity again, not work on your symptoms. He is especially not going to work on pain with you. Listen to the man. On my first visit I couldn't tie my shoes without pain. A couple visits later he surprised me by having me deadlift small weights with my legs locked. Now I can deadlift 2/3 of my body weight, and although I'm in my 50s with two back injuries which will probably never heal, I basically feel great all the time. He's an expert who knows what he's doing, and he's going to explain things to you so that you understand why you're doing them and why it's OK. 3) Bryan is going to give you the tools you need to improve. You need to take it from there. For me, it was like a miracle to finally get pointed in the right direction, and know that all I had to do was put in the work --- this was a huge change from my earlier experiences, and hugely empowering! But it is work, and you have to be ready to do it. Agile North is the best PT experience I've ever had, and the best investment in my health I've ever made. Can't recommend it enough. Go see Bryan!"
"I was very fortunate to have selected Bryan and his associates as my PT team. After incurring a serious knee injury, they got me back on my feet and running again:) I am in better overall shape than I have been in years due to their approach and a lot of hard work. It's good to know should I ever need PT again I know where to go."
"I have been working out on my own for many years. My doctor referred me to Bryan and I reluctantly showed up for my assessment. Much to my surprise, 90 days later I feel like a new man. At age 62 I didn't think you could teach an old dog new tricks but that has not been the case. I am recharged and loving the new plan Bryan and his team have developed for me. Never felt better and I still have a ways to go."
"I have been going here for about 7 months and love it! Going in, I was sceptical, because I had gone to PT elsewhere and didn't have any lasting results. The first thing Bryan said to me when I told him I had done PT before, was that his place was nothing like others. He explained to me what his goals for me, and other patients, before we even started anything. Going to Labell and associates, is more like going to the gym than my previous experience, which was more like getting a massage. I feel like I have gotten stronger, which was the goal, and with that strength increase my pain has decreased. Bryan and his associates are wonderful. They are knowledgeable and know how to motivate everyone. One day, I was frustrated with my results. I was working on a machine, which I felt like I hadn't gotten any better at. One of the associates I was working with tild me to pause for a moment and she changed the weight on it. When I tried it again it was so easy. She then said "do you see how far you've come now? That was the weight you started at, which was hard for you". Since then, I have realized how far I have come and am thankful that she took the time to show me when I was frustrated. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE. There are kids who are about 6 years old up to 80 that I have seen working hard here. There are also all levels of strength training here, from people just out of surgery where 2 pound weights are tough to people who are using over 100 pounds. Bryan really cares about everyone who comes in the door."
