Reviews of Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital: Emergency Room
"They will kill you. I went in by ambulance for a severe gluten allergy. It manifests with uncontrollable vomiting. The ambulance gave me 4 mg Zofran injection and a benedryl injection. We got right in a room in the hospital. All I need to stop the dizzy nausea and pain is hydration, more Zofran and some pain killer. Tylenol iv is fine I just can’t intake food or liquid when I’m like that. After two hours they put an IV in and didn’t attach anything. I never got fluids or any meds. After writhing in pain my husband went out and asked twice about getting me sone help. Nurses were rude and unhelpful. One actually said, “you’ve only waited three hours, others have been here 7”. If they had spent 15 seconds actually triaging me, giving me what I needed, I could have freed up a bed. And would have spared my hours of pain. I took off the monitors took out the IV myself and left after three and a half hours. If I’m going to be that messed up with no help, I’ll do it at home. Thank god the paramedics did what they did because it’s the only treatment I received. Never go there."
"They helped me through my miscarriage I feel that this hospital does the best they can. They are short staff and that is why wait times are so long. They are very good at looking into what is wrong and getting the best treatment."
"Although the first person who was asking me questions was not nice since I couldn’t breathe, so I was not able to talk. My husband was answering for me and she didn’t like it. Once she realized my heart was beating and had no oxygen she rushed me in. The people working here were amazing and went beyond my expectations. I was about to die of an asthma exacerbation if it wasn’t for the nurses and doctors working here. It’s my new favorite hospital due to the amazing staff. I sadly moved to Boston but I still rather drive 45 minute here than any other closer emergency hospital. Thank you for the amazing work to everyone here"
"Look, those two nurses Beverly and Sherrie are an absolute menace towards EMS. To hold them accountable for questionable care is one thing; to get on their case and have an attitude is another. In a world where we are addressing the "Karen" stigma, how can I combat it if those to embody it? You have another doc in that ED with questionable integrity- Signature, why do you employ him? Look, I've had some good experiences at Brockton ED, but their is a systemically cancerous culture in Brockton, and addressing it starts in the healthcare and municipal entities. Let's start here, shall we?"
"I came in at 11pm with my girlfriend who almost passed out on the ground after having an aggressive cough and being looked at by an ambulance, who said it was most likely that she had pneumonia. They called us up twice to ask for the same information but other than that we waited for a full five hours watching as people who came in after us with very minor problems being taken first. My girlfriends coughing had gotten better at this point but was still regular, the staff took no notice in any of her symptoms and was slow and uninterested in their patients health and well being. Eventually (at 4 AM) we decided that we would go to a different hospital, we told them to take her off the list and we were leaving, and right after we did this they take in another person who had come in after us. This I believe is the worst hospital in existence, and I will make sure nobody I know will ever have the displeasure of being there."
