"I had a small medical issue and I used ZocDoc to find a doctor. Leyda was available and I entered what I needed to go in for. Just an ear infection. Her office called and asked if I wanted to make her my primary care. I said no, she's too far from me to be my primary care normally. So they canceled my appointment. Leaving me in a lurch with a medical condition. Disappointed a doctor would do that."
"Saw her a few years ago and she had the worst bedside manner. For a week I had been sick and kept going back and forth without relief. She kept insisting it was just my asthma and that I wasn’t treating it the right way. Mind you I’ve been asthmatic since I was 2. Needless to say I needed up in the ER and I had a blot clot in my lung . When I went back for a follow up with her she told me it wasn’t a big deal. She didn’t acknowledge any of my concerns or anything."
"I should have made this review a lot sooner, since she has now moved to a different location. But i do not recommend her or any of the doctors there, ESPECIALLY DR.MOSS. Unless you want to die. Dr. Moss is a absolutely terrible person and shouldn't be a doctor. I vented to the gyno down stairs about my experience and she was cold to me immediately afterwards, telling me that Moss would never talk to someone like that. The gyno was always nice to me until I spoke up about Dr. Moss. So I guess no one is allowed to complain about Moss. Out of the 3 appointments total that I've had scheduled with Delgado, she only showed up to 1 of them. Which lasted a total of 5 minutes. Before she came to the room I could hear her laughing with the other patient. As soon as she entered the room, no smile, no greeting, straight to the point and she seemed irritated. She would cut me off when i talked and was in a rush to leave. There was a work order that she was suppposed to fulfill and she ignored it. Any emergency room visits or speciality appointment told me that my results would be forwarded to her and she'll contact me for treatment plans or follow ups, which she nor the office never did. And good luck trying to get them to pick up. The two other appointments that she didnt show up for, i was stuck with Moss. Who is rude, fat phobic, disrespectful, immature, and oblivious. Those appointments she gaslit me the whole time about my symptoms. One of which she told me that I "should be grateful" that ive throwing up almost everyday for 3 months straight, because now i "can finally lose weight without any effort". She dismissed my other symptoms and constantly blamed me for "missing" my appointment with Delgado, when i repeatedly told her that Delgado didnt show up and i was stuck with her. Also, she refused to do any testing. I literally had to fight her to get the most basic blood work done, even though shes not the one that is actually drawing blood. She put up the BIGGEST fight. She even made the comment that i should just go to a functional medicine doctor because they can poke and pry at me the way that i want. And also said that shes "only a family medicine doctor, not fancy and popular like Dr. Delgado" I have held onto this for a while now and I realized now that i should have recorded the appointment and sued for malpractice and discrimination."
"Dr. Delgado has been my PCP for around 2.5 years now. I will start with facts. I believe I've seen her four times in this time frame due to a few health issues. I will say that I felt truly listened to only one of those visits. I understand that healthcare right now is difficult for everyone involved, both staff and patients alike. I understand this because I am a nurse at the hospital and have been dealing with my own symptoms of burnout. The reason I leave this review today is because I have left Dr. Delgado's office feeling disrespected and hurt by the way she handled a sensitive visit about mental health. She treated me differently than she has other visits by pointing out personal flaws when I was there asking for help (after years of being scared to). I did not felt empathy from her, I did not feel like I was listened to. When I did try to interrupt her to actually explain why I was there, she raised her voice at me and said I had issues with impulse control. I felt like I was milled through via protocols and screens, instead of her just letting me speak. Again, I understand that the protocols and screens are part of what we need to do at the job. But, something is wrong if you don't acknowledge why you are doing those things in the first place. I left the office in tears and I feel uncomfortable going back for my follow up."
"I transferred from Dr Delgado because she did have an uncaring disposition. I came in once because I had afib and was not feeling well. I saw an intake worker first to check my vitals. When she did she notice my heart rate was very rapid. She went and told Dr Delgado that. Instead of her coming in to check she sends the intake worker in telling me I have to go directly by ambulance to the hospital. The EMTs came and as I was being rolled out we passed her office and she was on her computer and barely looked my way. The following couple days I transferred to another doctor. There were a few other instances but that last one was enough for me."
