His rigorous training continued with a podiatric surgical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard University Medical School, where he served as chief resident. During this time, he gained specialized expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot conditions and sports injuries.

Further honing his skills, Dr. Kuruvilla completed a fellowship in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery & Research at the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Chicago, where he engaged in cutting-edge clinical research and advanced surgical techniques, including shockwave therapy and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Kuruvilla is Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.
